A Parable: When people are sick do nothing for half of them.

When an Apollo 13 oxygen tank exploded, the scientists worked throughout the night to find a means of saving the crew using the material on board the craft.   There was no proposal to have half the crew breathe cabin air and the other to breathe from the space suits to study the results of survival.

Why then by comparison did Dr. Fauci tell congress that the Henry Ford Medical study of Hydroxychloroquine was flawed because it did not include placebos?

The Henry Ford Medical study was best use of treatment at hand to relieve the suffering and reduce possible deaths from the debilitating Covid19.   As it was not a volunteer study for a vaccine, the thought of giving their sick patients no treatment is abominable!

The study showed that administering  Hydroxychloroquine and an antibiotic to reduce secondary infection,
significantly reduced the impact of the virus, and for a great many regaining their health in 3 or 4 days!

Unlike some studies, the Ford Medical followed the patient through all phases of the disease and learned that this combination of drugs worked only if administered when the patient first entered the hospital.  Studies from around the world support that of Ford Medical.
